onocoy was founded in 2021 in Switzerland by satellite navigation industry veterans who spent decades building the technology that makes precise positioning possible. Now that the receiver technology is ready for the mass market, have they set about making the reference station infrastructure ready for large-scale use by building an open, community-owned marketplace for reference station data, accessible to everyone.

Swiss law minimizes barriers to participation and prevents domination by any single entity – critical for shared infrastructure that the whole industry needs to trust.
Membership & governance

elect a governance committee.
Bylaws cap any single member's influence. Governance moves progressively on-chain as the network
Operations
Day-to-day development and platform operations are delegated
to onocoy Services AG, a Swiss limited liability company operating under a consulting contract with
the Association on a cost-plus basis.
Onocoy is an industry association creating and operating valuable high-precision GNSS infrastructure for the benefit
of all stakeholders across the industry.
