onocoy Partners with Acurast to Reimagine Decentralized Precision Positioning

onocoy is proud to announce a new partnership with the Acurast Association, exploring how GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) correction data can be validated and distributed through decentralized edge compute — powered by smartphones.

This collaboration aims to unlock a next generation of decentralized infrastructure by:

• Offloading RTK data validation to edge devices

• Reducing latency through distributed local processing

• Scaling GNSS infrastructure without relying on centralized bottlenecks

By combining two DePINs — onocoy’s decentralized GNSS reference network and Acurast’s decentralized edge compute layer — this partnership brings real-time precision positioning closer to users while eliminating dependence on traditional data centers.
