onocoy Association
onocoy's supreme authority is the onocoy Association. It manages the onocoy platform, is responsible for strategy, governance, funding and holds all intellectual property relating to the platform.

The setup of an association is ideally suited for establishing and managing the onocoy platform, since the barriers to participation are minimized and at the same time the possibility of domination by a single large player is absent, which builds trust. This trust is necessary when the High Precision GNSS industry needs to collaborate to create a dense, global network.
The legal framework of an association under Swiss law mandates a non-profit organization, which again is in the interest of the entire industry.
Beside direct access to the governance, members and investors profit from of ONO token value appreciation.

Membership in the onocoy Association is open to all stakeholders (i.e., users, miners, complementors, partners, etc.) as well as investors, ensuring that the onocoy project meets the needs of all stakeholders in creating and managing a common infrastructure for the high-precision GNSS industry.
ONO tokens give access to association membership and governance, whereby the members elect a governance committee, which manages the activities of the association. As decentralization progresses, more and more of the governance is shifted on-chain, giving members even larger and more direct influence. Bylaws ensure that no single member can dominate the Association.

The onocoy Association delegates development, maintenance and promotion of the platform to the onocoy Services AG, a limited liability company under Swiss law, that operates in a Cost+ setup under a consulting contract with the onocoy Association.
